Shaping a stronger Oxfam for people living in poverty.
Overall responsible for program growth and business development for Oxfam in Nepal and to realise
the ambition to maintain a minimum level of 5 million for programme funding per year. It is a complex,
highly demanding management role working in close collaboration with the Country Director and the
Heads of Programmes in order to achieve the ambitions set out in the Oxfam Nepal Strategy 2018
– 2020. Responsible for regularly recommending and implementing changes in business
development and in the organisation in order to meet future needs and make significant
improvements for Oxfam in terms of programme funding, quality programming, innovation and
learning, marketing and communication and knowledge development. Works corporately and
communicates across all departments. The team is responsible for strengthening the income
position, the quality of our programme, our reporting, and our work with partners; and increasing
Oxfam’s visibility and ability to fundraise. The role of Head of BD/PQ is firmly grounded in Oxfam’s
2020 vision, in which Oxfam becomes a knowledge-driven organization that can attract sufficient
funding to implements its ambitions.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
10 years of work experience, preferably in profit as well as in non-profit sector with strong proven track record in Business Development in non-profit sector and ability to provide highly successful team leadership.
Extensive line management experience of professionals. Strong technical background and capable working with automated management information system.
